Short tale: Madilen Amazon Warrior

In the middle of the forest lived a King named Alder and a Queen named Anna exiled from her kingdom. They were stripped of Alexandria, by a sorcerer who bewitched all the people and set them against the royalty.

The sorcerer had a premonition that someone was about to come into the world, a being who would grow up to overthrow his false reign.

One day in the afternoon the kings were meditating on how to get out of isolation when they saw a seriously wounded woman with a little girl in her arms coming straight to their hut.

Woman, what happened to her! King Alder asked.

The woman very faintly said:

Oh lords, I charge you to take care of my daughter, she is a blessing, I have no strength left, I only ask you to call her Madilen, a warrior name, I know she will be a fighter, I will be her guardian!.

With no more she could say, the woman closed her eyes and with a sigh and a big smile she stopped breathing.

The King and Queen were very saddened and raised the girl as if she were their daughter, they called her Madilen, warrior of the Amazon!

15 years later, Madilen was an expert hunter in the jungle, she helped her parents, but she always wondered why do we live in the jungle? She always saw a giant castle in the distance. A real curiosity for her.

One day she decided to ask her parents why don’t we go to the castle?

King Alder said: my daughter, we will tell you, your mother and I used to live happily in that castle, but one day a sorcerer cast a spell on everyone and turned them against us.

Queen Anna said: that’s right my daughter, how much we would like to return and reign in the town of Alexandria.

Mom, isn’t there a way to go back?

Queen Anna said: no daughter, if we go back, we will spend the rest of our lives in prison, they are all bewitched and do not know what they are doing.

Madilen sad, went to the river bank to think and in the midst of her pain she shed a pure tear full of love to the river.

As she fell she felt a sound, and suddenly a whirlpool was formed from where a figure of a great owl came out and began to say to her:

Madilen, war child, I feel the deep pain inside you, I know you wish to help your parents. From today I put in your hands the power to heal the bewitched people of the castle. What you have to do is to go to the castle and touch the forehead of each person in order to heal their mind.

In the castle you will find a sorcerer “do not be afraid of him”, just look him in the eyes and say “I Madilen warrior of the Amazon banish you” he will lose all his power.

Madilen I ask him who are you, why do you help me?

I am your guardian, I will always be with you.

With a smile the great owl disappeared. Madilen was surprised and told everything to her parents.

King Alder said: Madilen daughter, we believe you and we will do our best to get the castle back.

Queen Anna said: daughter, let’s get ready and tomorrow at midnight we will enter the castle to heal everyone and banish the evil sorcerer.

The next day in the afternoon they left for the outskirts of the castle, they waited for midnight. When the time came, they entered stealthily and began to heal all the villagers.

It is finished! Madilen said, touching the forehead of the last villager with her hand. Now we only have to banish the sorcerer.

At that moment the sorcerer, already aware of the noise of the people, ran to escape, but at the door, and to leave the castle, is caught by the 2 of the guards.

Let me go, I am your King! Do not let him go, exclaimed King Alder, take him to my daughter, Princess Madilen.

Yes, my lord! Upon taking him to the princess, she looked him firmly in the eyes and said “I Madilen warrior of the Amazon, I banish you”, immediately a black aura came out of the sorcerer and he fell fainted to the floor.

From that moment they began everything returned to normal, the King and Queen ruled again Alexandria and Princess Madilen became the guardian of the city for all eternity.
