Princess Jasmine lived with her father, the Sultan of Agrabah, and his tiger Rajah in the Arabian desert.
The sultan decided that Jasmine should marry a prince and she would have to do it as soon as possible.
But Jasmine wanted to marry for love, not just to please her daddy!
In a place not too far away, there lived a young boy named Aladdin. His best friend was a little monkey named Abu.
Aladdin didn’t have a lot of money, but he did have a lot of dreams. “Someday we will live in a palace,” he told Abu.
Jasmine did not want to get married. So she decided to disguise herself so that no one would recognize her, so she could escape from the palace.
Outside the palace, in the marketplace, Jasmine took an apple to give to a child. A guard was about to punish her for stealing, but Aladdin defended her.
Aladdin took Jasmine home. As they talked, they discovered that they both dreamed of having a completely different life than the one they were living.
“I ran away, and I’m not coming back,” said Jasmine.
The palace guards burst in and caught Aladdin! Jasmine showed that she was the princess, and demanded that they release him.
But the guards ignored her and arrested Aladdin.
An old man helped Aladdin escape from the dungeon and took him to the Cave of Wonders. He wanted Aladdin to bring out the Wonderful Lamp that was in there.
Aladdin and Abu found the Lamp and a magic carpet! When they tried to get out, the cave began to rumble and shake! Everything turned to lava!
At the entrance, the old man refused to help them. Turns out he wasn’t an old man, he was the Sultan’s evil assistant, Jafar!
Although they were trapped in the cave, Abu took the lamp from Jafar.
When Aladdin cleaned it, a genie came out of the lamp. The genie pulled them out of the cave and granted Aladdin three wishes!
Aladdin’s first wish was to become a Prince. Pretending to be a prince from another kingdom, Aladdin went to see Princess Jasmine.
In the evening, Aladdin and Jasmine rode on the magic carpet. It was an unforgettable night.
Jasmine and Aladdin flew over deserts, mountains and seas.
Seeing so much abundance around them they discovered how fantastic it would be to discover an ideal world.
As they shared that beautiful moment they realized they were falling in love.
“Good night,” whispered Jasmine as they arrived at the palace. They kissed each other. Aladdin was so happy it felt like he had butterflies in his stomach.
But Jafar had an evil plan.
He ordered the guards to throw Aladdin to the bottom of the sea. Luckily, Aladdin was able to use his second wish and the genie rescued him.
But Jafar stole the marvelous lamp from him!
From now on, the genie was to serve Jafar! But that wasn’t enough, the evil sorcerer also made Jasmine his prisoner!
As Aladdin tried to enter the palace to rescue her, Jasmine used her charms to distract Jafar.
Aladdin convinced Jafar to use one of his wishes. “I wish to be the most powerful genie!” Jafar said.
With that wish he became an evil genie, and that’s how Aladdin was able to trap him in a lamp for an eternity!
The sultan told Jasmine that she could marry whomever she wanted. And the princess decided to marry her one true love-Aladdin!
Aladdin used his third, and final wish to free the genie forever. In the blink of an eye, the genie was ready to go on vacation.

Reflection on the story: The story of Aladdin and Princess Jasmine teaches us about the importance of true love and freedom of choice. Jasmine did not want to marry just to meet her father’s expectations, but wanted to find true love and marry for that reason. Aladdin also had big dreams, and although he did not have much money, he never lost hope of fulfilling them.
The story also shows us that we should not judge people by their appearance or social position. Jasmine disguised herself to escape from the palace and was judged by a guard, who accused her of stealing an apple. However, Aladdin defended her and proved that appearances can be deceiving.
In addition, the story tells us about the consequences of greed and evil. Jafar, the sultan’s assistant, desired power and wealth, and was willing to do anything to get them, including betraying the princess and her people. In the end, his ambition led to his own destruction.
