The Three Little Pigs
Short tale: The Three Little Pigs
Enjoy it! Here’s the audio story!
Once upon a time there were three little pigs who were brothers and sisters and loved each other very much. Their favorite thing was to play music. The oldest pig could play the piano, the middle pig could play the violin and the smallest one could make beautiful sounds with his flute. From the time they were born, they learned to share everything they had and to help each other unconditionally.
One day, they decided that each of them would build a house for themselves, because the little pen in which they lived was getting too small for the three of them.
-I’m going to make my little house of straw,” said the youngest of them, “it’s very soft and easier to pile up to build me a good place.
-Well, mine will be made of wood,” announced the middle one, proudly. It’s a little stronger and it’s also very easy to build with it.
-I’m going to make mine out of bricks,” said the eldest.
His younger brothers looked at him in surprise.
-With bricks? How lazy! It’s going to take you a long time.
-So long that you won’t have time to play music with us.
-It doesn’t matter, I want a safe and strong house,” he said, “even if I spend all day building it, I’ll use bricks.
And so it was done, and the three little pigs started to build. Once the houses were ready, each one went into his own house to sleep. But there lurked in the valley a very fierce wolf, whose guts were growling with hunger.
When he smelled the little pigs, he said to himself that he would feast. He came to the little pig’s house and told him to let him in.
-No,” he replied from inside.
-Then I will blow and blow, and your house I will blow down,” and the wolf blew so hard that the straw flew everywhere, and the little pig ran to hide in the wooden house of the second brother.
The wolf went there and ordered them to let him pass.
-No,” they said to him.
-Then I’ll blow and blow, and his house I’ll blow down,” and once again the house was destroyed, causing the two little pigs to flee to their older brother’s house, which was solidly built of bricks.
Licking his whiskers, the wolf went after them and shouted for them to open the door.
-Get out of here! -said the older pig.
-I’ll blow and blow, and your house will fall down,” threatened the wolf, but when he blew, he couldn’t move a single brick.
Frustrated, the wolf climbed onto the roof of the house to enter through the chimney.
-What a surprise I’m going to give those little pigs! I’m going to eat them all.
But the older piggy, who had heard him, was already preparing to give him what he deserved. He put a pot to boil on the fire and when the wolf dropped down, the broth burned him, scalding him and making him flee into the forest.
The little pigs celebrated their victory and decided to enlarge the house so they could all live together. Of course, they used bricks. They too had learned their lesson.
