Enjoy it! Here’s the audio story!
A long time ago, a king and queen had a little girl they named Rapunzel.
The proud parents did not know that their beautiful daughter’s golden hair had magical powers.
Only a woman named Gothel knew about the magic in Rapunzel’s hair, and she wanted to keep it in her hands so it would not grow old.
Rapunzel’s hair grew and grew. And every year, on the night of her birthday, she would see lights floating in the sky from her tower.
She wished she could get out of the tower to see them more closely, but Mother Gothel would not let her leave.
At the same time, a thief named Flynn had just stolen something very valuable from the castle and all the royal guards were after him.
Luckily, Flynn found the perfect place to hide – a tower!
Just as Flynn entered the tower, Rapunzel hit him with a frying pan and knocked him unconscious.
Rapunzel went through Flynn’s bag and found a golden object that looked very familiar.
Flynn awoke tied to a chair with Rapunzel’s long, golden hair. She showed him a painting depicting the floating lights he saw in the sky.
Tomorrow would be her 18th birthday and if Flynn would take her to see the lights, she would return her purse with the valuable object.
Flynn agreed and Rapunzel used her hair to climb down the tower.
Since she had never been outside before, she felt a lot of joy just by touching the grass!
Rapunzel and Flynn enjoyed their adventures. But Mother Gothel was looking for them, and she wouldn’t give up!
Everyone seemed to be after Flynn. From the royal guards to Flynn’s own accomplices, what Flynn stole was something very coveted!
Several days passed, and no one was caught. Rapunzel and Flynn kept moving forward.
One morning, Rapunzel saw the beautiful kingdom for the first time. It had a very tall castle – she didn’t want to wait another minute!
Upon arriving at the kingdom, Rapunzel saw a painting of the king and queen with their baby, who was known as the lost princess.
The baby had golden hair and green eyes – just like hers!
Flynn took Rapunzel to see the floating lights, which were actually paper lanterns!
Flynn gave Rapunzel a paper lantern to float in the sky. She gave the bag back to him.
Afterwards, Flynn and Rapunzel were separated. Mother Gothel told Rapunzel that Flynn only wanted the crown and she would never see him again.
But Rapunzel realized that Mother Gothel was lying to her! She knew she was the lost princess!
Suddenly, Flynn came to Rapunzel’s rescue! But Gothel hurt him – she didn’t want Rapunzel to ever get away from her.
If Rapunzel agreed to stay with Mother Gothel forever, Flynn would live.
But before Rapunzel could speak, Flynn cut off her long golden hair. That was how she lost her magical powers.
Without the magic, Mother Gothel grew old and of her only a pile of dust remained. Rapunzel was free, but Flynn was dying.
“You were my dream” she whispered. A tear from Rapunzel fell on Flynn and began to glow, and healed Flynn!
Flynn carried Rapunzel to the castle. The king and queen ran to greet their lost princess.
That night, the entire kingdom celebrated Rapunzel’s return with hundreds of paper lanterns in the sky. The same lanterns that brought her back home.

Despite Mother Gothel’s prohibition, Rapunzel found a way to fulfill her dream of seeing the floating lights.
